30 Day Beauty Experience
“The graced eye can glimpse beauty anywhere, for beauty does not reserve itself for special elite moments or instances; it does not wait for perfection but is present already secretly in everything. When we beautify our gaze, the grace of hidden beauty becomes our joy and our sanctuary.”
― John O'Donohue, Beauty: The Invisible Embrace
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as it is said. Beauty can be seen both on the inside and outside. I invite you to contemplate, for a full month, what beauty means for you - and how to create a deeper and more reverent experience with this essence of life.
Follow these guidelines for the next 30 days - and at the end, reflect on what new experiences have entered your world.
Pillars for Resilience:
Sleep: Get your 8 hours of beauty rest (best to be to bed by 10pm for the most optimal sleep rhythm)
Exercise:
sweat out toxins - hot yoga, running, infared sauna
Restore your body with yin yoga or yoga nidra
Qi Gong: A teacher shared with me, he practices because it makes him feel beautiful
Meditation - 5 minutes daily - clear out mental clutter
Challenge: Solo Date to nurture YOU inside: take yourself on a date to allow in new life experiences (at least once this month)
Journal Exercise:
What is Beauty to you? What are the inner aspects? What are the outer aspects?
Choose 3 Muses : 3 Humans who personify beauty in a way that inspires you (knowing that you have these same forces within yourself!) What are these aspects that you appreciate and would like to nurture in yourself? (Remember this is not a comparative exercise - but a listing of admiration and celebration to beauty expressed)
Create a Pinterest Board of your beauty inspirations
Listen to a book on tape that makes you feel beautiful inside. I highly recommend John O’Donahue’s Beauty book - his poetry, his cadence in his voice - I feel more beautiful as his words shape my inner experience. Additionally, Rumi or Kabir for deep and radiant poetry.
Mid-Month: 3 Day Cleanse for Skin Health Optimization and Optimal Body Experience:
Release for just three days: meat, dairy, wheat, soy, egg, coffee, sugar
Why? You are releasing inflammatory foods to adjust your system. How does your body feel without these foods? Do you notice a difference in your skin health and your skin texture?
Add:
Matcha (for your caffeine alternative)
Celery Juice - in the morning - empty stomach - the reasoning behind this is to help with HCL in the gut which helps with digestions and subsequently immune system
ACV Elixir (2Tbl of Apple Cider Vinegar with Honey) at 2p-4p for small intestines
Figs - Fresh Figs or soaked dried organic figs have great antioxidants and are stellar for skin health
Beets - blood purifying which gives you a rich glow
Berries - at 3pm according to Chinese Medicine and Solar Nutrition - great for fertility - which is a key component to skin health (Goji, Blueberry, blackberries)
Pumpkin Seeds - let’s add some Zinc to your world! Zinc has so many wound healing and skin healing properties (other zinc foods: tahini for softening fine lines, dark chocolate for sexy mood upliftment, leafy greens)
Pineapples in the evening - best after 5pm - for anti-inflammatory benefits and also for the thyroid
Cherries - best in the evening to support melatonin and also has so many anti-inflammatory components
Supplements for Cleanse:
Liver Protect: Xymogen - 2 at night for 7 days total (liver health will support skin health)
Probulin: Probiotic - 2 at night for 7 days total (colon support and nourishing your large intestines)
Green Tea - for beauty support
Supplemental:
